Antietam Battlefield, Sharpsburg MD
This combo was my attempt at replicating A.Gardner’s famous shot of the Dunker Church, which was taken shortly after the Battle of Antietam. As you can see I was successful, but not due to skill. This must be what they mean when they say “lucky shot.” I imagine Gardner’s experience photographing Sharpsburg wasn’t as enjoyable as mine.
