Manassas Battlefield, Manassas VA
This photo is of the 'Stonewall' Jackson statue at the site of First Bull Run. Although "Old Jack" remains my favorite subject, this statue is not, as both rider and horse appear to be on steroids. All exaggerated sculpting aside, its presence here on the field of his first victory is awe-inspiring. I took this shot from behind, as if I was one of his troops waiting for the order to advance.
