Spotsylvania Battlefield, Spotsylvania VA
This photo was taken of the NJ Monument near the site of the “Bloody Angle” at Spotsylvania Battlefield. It testifies to the enduring courage and bravery that was sustained for over 20 hours by the 15th Regt. NJ Volunteers, who participated in the longest single engagement of the Civil War. The natural colors and the refreshing air that greeted us on that day were breathtaking.
